Downtown
Downtown is at the end of Manzanillo Bay. It is the oldest section of the town. The Municipality offices are located here. Nowadays Downtown has been renovated shaped with a beautiful Mediterranean style. It is the place where cruisers ships stop to enjoy the beauty of its streets, the pier next to the ocean and its open areas; as well, it is the right place to have lunch or to buy souvenirs of this Mexican paradise.

Campos Zone
Campos is becoming an industrial area from farming land. Here is located El Colomo Town that is really close to Downtown. In this zone is projected the harbor expansion in the next years. Here is located the Manzanillo power plant and Ventanas, a popular viewpoint to the ocean that you would enjoy to see.

Industrial Zone
This is the area around the harbor business activities. Include Fondeport, Jalipa, Tapeixtles and San Pedrito. In this area you can find any kind of logistic companies and custom agent offices. New offices and business hotels are coming in this Zone. Big companies like Peña Colorada (mining), Tuny (a tuna fish company) and API (Administración Portuaria Integral = General Harbor Administration) are here. There are land and investment opportunities for new businesses.

Soleares
This zone is between the two most important streets in Manzanillo, Boulevard Costero Miguel de la Madrid and Elias Zamora Street. It is really close to the tourist and commercial area where cinemas, grocery stores and shopping malls are located. New houses have been built, mostly for local people between $60,000 USD to $200,000 USD.

Valle de las Garzas
It is becoming an important commercial area because of the concentration of the population is here. Houses here are under $70,000 USD.

Las Brisas
The old tourist area of Manzanillo is recovering its position of one of the best tourist places in town, because new high value oceanfront condominiums like Perla del Mar (http//:www.perladelmarmanzanillo.com) are coming. New expensive houses are changing the face of this area dramatically. It is the right place to enjoy a beautiful sunset view on the ocean and the best breeze. Its major advantage is that everything is less than 4 blocks from the sandy beach and it is not a crowded area. As closer you are from the end of Manzanillo Bay better it is the beach for swimming.

Salahua
Salahua is an important town in Manzanillo, because the biggest tourist and commercial area is in this section of Boulevard Costero, but inside of the town there are houses mostly for local people, that enjoy life like if they where still in a little town. Salahua has history as a fishing village and as town of ship builders when Spanish conquerors were traveling to the Far East.

Santiago
Santiago Town and Salahua Town are the shoulders of Manzanillo. Here you will find one of the most popular and beautiful beaches, Santiago Beach in Santiago Bay, where there are investment opportunities. Basically you can find local commerce and the Santiago Flea Market. The town is not completely a tourist area, but you will find all kind of services, from little restaurants to big ones with a mix of Mexican and International food. Also you can find little nice hotels and local business.

Olas Altas
It is the tourist section of Santiago Town. It is where RE/MAX Perla Pacífico is located on this section of the Boulevard Costero in Santiago Bay. This area has been one of the biggest condominium areas and also new luxury condominiums are coming here. Olas Altas beach is the best place for surfing in Manzanillo in summer, but in winter the beach is just perfect for swimming with security. You can find condos from $80,000 USD crossing the street to the beach to $350,000 USD on the beach. New houses close to the beach are coming.

Miramar
Miramar is the beach area in the middle of Santiago Bay and also is the name of little town next to Club Santiago. Here, there are land reserves for big developments coming. This is the place to enjoy waves safely with the family.

Santiago Peninsula
It is the most important tourist and residential area. Here are located the most important hotels like Las Hadas, Barceló Karmina Palace or Tesoro Hotel. It is great location in the middle of Manzanillo overlooking Santiago and Manzanillo Bay. Las Hadas Golf Course and tennis courts are here. Many good condominiums are located in this area and there are new ones coming. Here you can find land from $100 USD/ Sq. Meter to $180 USD/ Sq. Meter, depending of the view, and location.

Juluapan Peninsula
It is the best land reserve of Manzanillo. This is going to be the next biggest area developed comparable to Santiago Peninsula. Juluapan Peninsula is next to Vida & Lomas del Mar Zone.

La Punta
Definitely it is the most luxury and expensive area of Manzanillo and of many places of Mexico. It has all the qualities of exclusivity. Homes here are from $800,000 USD. Land is still available and this market is independent of what happens in Manzanillo.

Club Santiago
Club Santiago, is a zone and the name of a gated community next to Club Santiago Golf Course and the best beach of Manzanillo “La Boquita”. Here you will find the best little seafood restaurants in town. All kind of water sports is available at the end of the bay. This is a flat land area; this is the place to be close to the beach with style and security, is not the place for a view. Here you could find condos from $130,000 USD. Homes on the beach are around $1,000,000 USD. Homes one block from the beach are from $250,000 USD. Other gated communities like La Joya and Real del Country are in this area, close to the golf course and not far from the beach.

Vida & Lomas del Mar
In this zone there is great potential for new developments and new residential homes. It is the place of the great ocean and lagoon views. It just has perfect views. A lot of constructions are coming. New high value homes with people getting away from the city only 15 minutes driving. This is becoming the second most expensive area in Manzanillo.

El Naranjo
It is a little town at the entrance of Manzanillo coming from the airport. Here is located a branch of Colima’s University. It is considered as land reserve where the city will continue its growth.

Playa de Oro – Airport
This is land reserve. There is farming land on the road, ocean view land waiting its moment to be developed.

This is the second main street of Manzanillo. It is a parallel road to the Blvd. Costero M. de la Madrid. Around this road is concentrated the most of Manzanillo’s population.
